
Nearly six million Americans served in some capacity during the Korean
War. All branches of our armed forces were represented in the United
Nations effort to restore peace in Korea. Twenty-two Nations
participated with the United Nations in support of the Korean War:

Jun 25 - Sep. 15, 1950 (Pusan Perimeter)
2. United Nations Offensive: Sep. 15 - Nov. 2, 1950 (Inchon Landing)
3. Chinese Communist Forces Offensive: Nov. 3, 1950 - Jan. 24,
1951 (The Chosin Few - Hungnam Evacuation)
4. First United Nations Counter-offensive: Jan. 25 - Apr. 21, 1951
5. Chinese Communist Forces Spring Offensive: Apr. 22 - Jul 8, 1951
(Fighting stalls around the 38th Parallel)
6. United Nations Summer-Fall Offensive: Jul. 9 - Nov. 27, 1951
7. Second Korean Winter: Nov. 28, 1951 - Apr. 30, 1952
8. Continuing Stalemate: May 1 - Nov. 30, 1952
9. Third Korean Winter: Dec. 1, 1952
- Apr. 30, 1953
10. Conclusion: May 1 Jul. 27, 1953 (Armistice - Peace treaty never
signed.)
